Annual Fall Hayride click here to view the photo gallery
The Annual Hayride takes place every November at the historic Boy's Home Park. The Cardillo's, a South Fayette farming family, graciously volunteer their tractors, wagons and their time to make this such a successful annual event.
Hayrides are given free of charge. Hot cider, hot chocolate and apples are also provided free of charge. Hotdogs and bottled water are available for a minimal charge. Specialty cookies are also available for a donation.
In 2009 Pony rides and educational opportunities were available for the enjoyment of all attendees. Pony rides were compliments of Barb Boehmer. Education and craft related activities were presented by facilitators from both the REEC and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. The South Fayette Department of Parks and Recreation arranged for an onsite birds of prey presentation.
The hayride is the SFCG's annual fund raiser and donations are gratefully appreciated. The weather was warm and sunny and we hope that those who attended will spread the word for 2010's event.
