Fairview Park Nest Box Project

In the spring of 2009, the South Fayette Township Department of Parks and Recreation approved a request from the South Fayette Conservation Group for the group to install next boxes for cavity nesting birds in Fairview Park.

We are happy to report that in the summer of 2009 the boxes hosted three species of birds.  

Tree Swallows

Eastern Bluebirds

House Wrens

Look for the nest boxes with the SFCG logo when you visit the park.
