It was a gorgeous warm day for the Annual Hayride.

The Cardillo's once again donated their time, tractors and wagons for the hayride.
|

|
|
Many families came out to enjoy the hayride.
|
|
|
|
Everyone who took the hayride learned about the history of the Boy's Home Parks and it's preservation status.
|
|
|
|
One of the favorite activities was searching for toothpicks in the haystack.
|
|
|
|
|
Barb Boehmer returned this year to offer pony rides on her horse named Magic.

|
|
|
Ally enjoyed her ride.
|
|
|
|
The National Honor Society sponsored a bird feeder craft.
|
|
|
|
Earl Shriver returned with his birds of prey.
|
|
|
|
Waldo Young performed near the split barrel fire.
|
|
|
|
|
There were also educational opportunities for kids and adults.

|

Joslyn from the REEC was onhand to speak about bats and owls.

The REEC also provided sterilized owl pellets for dissection.

Angie from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History shows participants how to identify animal tracks.

The specimens from the Carnegie Museum were a great opportunity to learn about and appreciate native wildlife.
