6th Annual Fall Hayride

The Annual Hayride takes place every November at the historic Boy's Home Park.  The Cardillo's, a South Fayette farming family, graciously volunteer their tractors, wagons and their time to make this such a successful annual event.

This year, as always, the rides were given free of charge.
Hot cider, hot chocolate and apples were also provided free of charge.  There were hotdogs and bottled water available for a minimal charge.  Specialty cookies were also available for a donation.

Pony rides and educational opportunities were available for the enjoyment of all attendees.  The pony rides were compliments of Barb Boehmer.  Bat and owl related activities and crafts were presented by facilitators from both the REEC and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.  The South Fayette Department of Parks and Recreation arranged for an onsite birds of prey presentation.

The  hayride is the SFCG's annual fund raiser and
this years donations are gratefully appreciated.  The
weather was warm and sunny and we hope that those who attended will spread the word for next years event.
